You know what it is when winter is approaching? It’s time for the Winter’17 release notes! The latest updates show that the Lightning experience is moving in the right direction. Our list consists of 5 of our favorite features:
SALES

  • Optimize Clicks and Time by Editing Inline in Beta

Reps can now save the time of going through record updates and instead modify a record without opening it, directly from the list view. Also, they can now save multiple records all at once!

  • Kanban on Leads, Campaigns & Contracts

This feature also comes under the Lightning Experience where the Sales reps can now more effectively monitor their progress with leads, contracts, and campaigns using the same Kanban-style visual layout used for their opportunities. They can edit or delete records  and also fill in fields required to move a record to a different stage or status from within the Kanban view.
LIGHTNING EXPERIENCE

  • Create Custom Apps in Lightning Experience and Navigate More Efficiently

This feature comes with the remodified Lightning experience which now makes it easier for the users to efficiently switch between apps for branding and customization. Administrators can now create numerous apps, allowing their users to access more than one app like in Salesforce Classic. You can now navigate at Lightning speed letting you :

  1. Find what you need using item names instead of icons for easy recognition
  2. Complete actions and access recent lists and records with a single click
  3. Use a consistent and familiar navigation experience
  • Visual Workflow: Flows are Going Lightning!

This new feature will make many Admins’ lives much easier. Now you have a way to avoid Visualforce Pages or URLs to launch your flow.

  • Flow Custom Buttons with Selection List Views

Winter’17 brings with it the ability to select records in List Views. With the Salesforce Classic UI, it provides checkboxes next to the records in the List View based on whether or not a Custom Button has been added to the List View layout.

  • Predictive Lead Scoring

You can now take your company’s data and make it work for you. Predictive lead scoring helps clients realize where they can yield their time for the best results by taking lead characteristics and historical information from industries and titles to time to conversion metrics.
