Salesforce Summer’16 Features – What’s New?

Along with the summer sun, Salesforce has shone brightly on us with their Summer’16 release – a milestone release for Salesforce! With over 200 new features added in this launch, the platform has now become faster and smarter, allowing businesses to customize their needs in a flash. This is different compared to other releases with many versions being announced with different features.
Let’s take a look at some of the favorite features:

1. Sales Cloud
With the Summer’16 release, Salesforce has added new features to Sales Cloud. Sales reps can now get new leads, keep the deals moving and get insights on the go.

● Lightning Voice: Sales Cloud has new Lightning Voice, which allows sales reps to click-to-dial and take inbound calls right in the Lightning Experience.

● SalesforceIQ Inbox: Now a rep can make sales better by connecting Salesforce to their inbox to leverage customer insights.

2. Community Cloud
It guarantees enhanced security and customizations, new community templates and greater control so that users can access Lightning with ease.

● Moderation and Pre Moderation Controls
This has been introduced so that community managers can arm themselves against spammers and other malicious members.

● Profile-based Page Visibility
Admins now have the power to customize and personalize the user experience and content limit for different users according to their job and function.

3. Service Cloud
The Summer’16 release has a lot in store for customer service including time trackers, social customer service, knowledge articles and many more that help reps to deliver a faster and smarter customer experience.

● Field Service Lightning
It is a tool that enables companies to deliver mobile intelligent customer service from phone to field. Agents now have access to knowledge and service levels inside the Lightning Experience. The milestone clock allows your company to keep track of SLAs.

● Active Time Tracker
It measures performance and improves operational efficiencies which monitors the total time an agent spends on work.

● Twitter Customer Feedback and DM Prompts
Service Cloud integrates two new customer service features – Customer Surveys and Direct Messages. This gives real time updates on NPS/CSAT scores and you can easily switch from public conversations to DMs making social engagements easy.

● Launch Pad
New launch pad templates like Standard Console, Branded Console and Dashboards help you to set up Service Lightning Console faster than ever before. Admins now have a safe environment to test all features and roll them back in a click.

● Desk360
Desk360 provides agents with all the contextual information they need to provide a stellar customer experience and allows them to view important service data by case, customer, company, and opportunity.

4. Analytics Cloud
It helps to make better strategic decisions and drive business, gaining actionable insights with all the wonderful features that have been added to the Analytics Cloud.

● Service Wave
It enables managers to gain visibility into KPIs and deliver proactive customer service, thus helping to create world-class service teams.

5. Marketing Cloud
Marketers can now deliver personalized content, optimize special customer journeys and realize marketing goals with this release. One of the main features is the Email Studio which allows users to create, target and send mails in a jiffy. They can also create highly personalized emails, preview and test them. Another feature, Content Builder now helps users to create, edit and manage good content and also build, search and manage their content with filters, tags, and global search.

6. App Cloud
Now with App Cloud, you can personalize your Lightning homepages according to your priority. Health and Financial Services clouds now have premier success plans which provide a beautiful blend of training, support and access to certified experts to give customers the best experience.

● Financial Services Cloud
One of the significant features of Summer 16’, this cloud has been built to reinvent the wealth management industry and refine customer service. It allows for better visibility into relationships between every account.

● Health Cloud
Take compliance, governance, and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) data to a new level with Health Cloud. It now supports Salesforce Shield allowing users to easily comply with regulations on apps storing PHI data.
