Inspire and Innovate – What’s in Store at Dreamforce’15?

You know how Christmas time brings in that spirit of cheer, excitement and goodwill? Well, to put it lightly, Dreamforce is more or less like the Christmas of Salesforce developers, admins, users and consumers alike! The event has everybody talking excitedly about it months before and even wistfully months after! And with each passing year, it just gets bigger, better and blingier! This year is no different and with just less than five weeks to go for DF’15, here’s a look at why we think you should be on a flight to San Fran by September 15th.

Keynotes from Those Who Got it Right

The stage at San Fransisco is all set to host an amazing lineup of keynote speakers – luminaries, thinkers and top industry leaders who will be sharing some engaging and thought-provoking insights into their amazing journey. The list is awe-inspiring – right from Marc Beinoff, Satya Nadella, Goldie Hawn, and Chuck Robbins to Jessica Alba and Susan Wojcicki who will be leading the Women’s Leadership Keynote address. And above all, we are still left speculating as to what shoes Marc Beinoff is gonnna show off this time. Like the much-talked about Cloud Walkers from last year, we are pretty sure he won’t hold back on style this time either!

A Meet and Greet Opportunity

Imagine being surrounded by thousands of people who hold Salesforce.com close to their heart and who share an unbridled passion for the platform and the Salesforce brand as a whole. This is in essence what Dreamforce is. It gives you one of those rare opportunities to interact with and learn from the best in the business and even better, gives you the chance to have some amazing conversations with peers and friends within the technology world. All this for four whole days at a stretch!

DevZone – A Developer’s Dream

Salesforce has always kept their developer community close to heart. This year with the Salesforce developer community exceeding 2.1 million in number, we can expect nothing less than awesome! The Dreamforce Developer Zone is probably the place where most Salesforce developers attain Nirvana, a heaven of sorts with over 1500 expert led sessions, Cloud expos and Circles of Success where you can interact with product doyens and get hands-on experience and training. With a mind-boggling 220 DevZone sessions and 90 Admin Zone sessions, you’ll wish each day was longer by a few hours at least.

New Launches, Unlimited Excitement

What all Salesforce admins and developers eagerly wait for at Dreamforce are the new release announcements and launches that Beinoff and his team lets out, adding to all the frenzy. While 2013 saw the release of Salesforce1 platform, Wave and Lightning were the stars of 2014. And this year, the air is rife with rumors as to what we can expect, but we’ll just have to wait and watch. It’s sure to be nothing less than spectacular as always.

Let the Party Begin

Work hard and party even harder! This is the mantra of every Dreamforce event and this year, Salesforce has kept to the motto and roped in 11-time Grammy Award winners, Foo Fighters to set the stage on fire with some incredible music. And lighting the spark is acclaimed guitarist Gary Clark Jr who will be opening the show to a night of awesome music and what promises to be a great crowd. Talking of parties, there are quite a few this year for you to let your hair down after a choc-a-bloc day of sessions and keynotes. And would you believe, Salesforce has stepped up the swag a notch higher by actually booking a luxury cruise, fondly named Dreamboat, just in case you run out of accommodation at San Fran!

Follow to Lead with the Trailhead Trails

This year saw and heard a lot of buzz around Trailhead – Salesforce.com’s interactive and completely fun learning tool. It’s like your very own ‘How to Learn Salesforce in a Few Days’ book – only more fun and it’s online.  If you are relatively Salesforce and you don’t want to feel lost among all the technical wizards who’ll be thronging the place at Dreamforce, you can take up Dreamforce Trail to get the most out of your Dreamforce experience. Plus, if that’s not enough, we can wait to get to the Dreamforce DevZone which will be gamified with Trailhead- a fresh and innovative take on learning Salesforce.

So the only question is – Are you #DF15 Ready?

Excited? So are we and we hope to share the excitement with you at San Francisco. Our chief Shiv’ll be around! We’d love to schedule a time for meeting you there.
